AMBITION IN THE BLOOD
SAM IS HAVING A NIGHTMARE AND CHLOE CLIMBS IN BED WITH HER AND WAKES HER UP
Chloe: "Mommy! Don't be afraid."
Sam: "It's okay...okay. I'm sorry, sweetie. Mommy was having a nightmare. I'm sorry."
Chloe: "Why do people have nightmares?"
Sam: "Here. C 'mere (Sams pulls Chloe close to her up against the pillow). C 'mere. Sometimes when...when people are scared and they go to bed at night, what they're scared of creeps into their dreams and it can make your dreams bad."
Chloe: "What are you scared of?"
Sam: "Well, Mama's just worried about Uncle Bailey. He's not feeling so good."
Chloe: "Could we go visit him?"
Sam: "Yeah, yeah, I think we should do that. Maybe...maybe we'll go in a couple of days. Couple of days and everything is gonna be just fine (They both nod). I'll tell you what. Why don't you sleep in here with me tonight, okay?"
Chloe: "Okay."
Sam: "Okay. C 'mon, let's go to bed (They get under the covers and Sam strokes Chloe's hair until she falls asleep).
